Marketing Research Project

For my Marketing Research Class during the 2025 Spring semester, I was in a group that was in charge of running a Research Project for a new item in an industry. The new market that we thought would work well is the water modifier market. This market contains items like Mio, Liquid IV, and DripDrop. As a group, we needed to 1) Choose the Item that we needed to do more research on and figure out the correct target market, 2) Develop a survey with ten to fifteen questions ranging from questions with Likert Scales to Crosstabulation, and 3) get a good amount of survey participants to complete and finish the survey.

Our group met up and talked through different ideas for the project and decided that the best idea was to create a Liquid IV drop. Then, we looked at the competitors in this market and figured out their best target markets. We researched each competitor and looked through their ads to see the audience. This narrowed our target market which we were able to adjust our questions to. We then researched questions for surveys and the different question types. Through this research and target market, we tailored our survey with the best questions and sent out our survey to participants.

Our teacher was impressed by the quality of the questions in our survey and the amount of research that went into the project. In addition, we were able to get a good amount of participants for the survey increasing our knowledge of the target market.
